Data deletion

How to have us delete the data we hold about you, including what Instagram sent us.

Ask us to delete it

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”.
  2. Include your Instagram username, and the account or post you commented on if you know it.
  3. We delete it within one month, usually much sooner, and email you when it's done.

What we delete

  • The records of your comments and of the messages we sent you, including whether you followed the account and opened our link.
  • Every entry about you in the raw log of what Instagram sent us.
  • If you connected an Instagram account to Bromo: its stored posts, comments, metrics and access token.

What stays on Instagram

Your comment and our messages also live on Instagram, which we can't delete from our side. You can delete your comment and the conversation in the Instagram app. Data Meta holds about you is covered by Instagram's privacy policy.

If you connected an account to Bromo

To stop Bromo receiving anything new, remove its access in the Instagram app under Settings and activity → Website permissions → Apps and websites, then email us to delete what we already have.

More on what we collect and why is in our privacy policy.
